Klondike AGA Star Wars Galaxy Cardset

An alternative 256 colour Star Wars card set for the excellent
Klondike AGA by REKO Productions.

This cardset may by freely distributed within the Public Domain as long
as none of the cards, or this text file are altered in any way, shape or
form.  This readme file and card set icon must accompany the cardset.


This cardset was scanned from the Star Wars Galaxy (First Series) trading
cards by Topps.  The cards were scanned using PhotoShop and a HP ScanJet 3c
colour flat bed running on a DX2, they were saved as JPEGs and transferred
to an Amiga.  They were then knocked down to 256 colours and built into a
cardset using DPaint AGA (I really need to buy some new art software).

The reason for this card set is that, being fanatical about Star Wars, I
really wanted a good card set for Klondike.  However, all the existing
Star Wars cards seem to be scans from the films, we all seen the films
over and over, and we know them like the back of our hands.  I thought
that a card set based on the trading cards would be a nice idea, and
interesting for anyone who has not seen them before.

The main problem was which cards to put in the set, and which to leave out,
so another set may be on the cards. (very poor!)

If anyone is interested in the original scans (about twice as big), then
send me about two disks and I'll happily return them to you full.
Also if you have any first series SW Galaxy cards for swaps I have included
a list of all my swaps, and cards which I need to complete the set, I
really would love to hear from you.  My address is at the bottom of this
file, write to me if you love Sci-Fi, the Amiga or anything else.
